I’m delighted to announce that my novella, THE WINDS OF MORNING, gained an Honorable Mention in the Incipere Awards 2022 Historical Fiction category.
This book is near and dear to my heart, as I wrote it after doing genealogical research with my niece. We found out that my father’s family lived through An Gorta Mor (the Great Irish Potato Famine of 1845-1852) before they emigrated to the US, along with a million other Irish citizens. Counting those and the loss of lives from starvation, Ireland’s population declined by at least 25% in ten years. For more information on this totally preventable disaster, you can read this article.
Or, if you feel like giving an indie author a boost, you could even buy the book. 😉
